My Approach to Counseling

• My therapeutic approach is to establish a warm, holistic relationship with you that address issues related to integrating a healthy mind, body, and spirit to reach a balance in life.

• The development of life-long coping and problem-solving skills is incorporated in our sessions.

• Counseling involves a personal and positive commitment to change and choice.

• At various times, I function as your teacher, your personal coach, your advisor, a consultant, a confidante, and your mental health therapist.

• We will work together; establish a plan for recovery, and everything we do will be tailored to your individual needs and circumstances.

• All sessions are confidential, within the limits of state and federal laws

• Counseling modalities used in individual and group counseling are primarily: Supportive, Client-centered, Brief Counseling, Cognitive/didactic, Behavior Modification, and, Eye Movement Desensitization and Response (EMDR).
